Job Title: Behavioral Home Care Givers
Status: Full-Time

Job Summary: CARE Hawaii is looking to recruit families who are willing to use a bedroom within their home for residential living for a participant with maladaptive behavioral needs to include intense and continuous interventions to address significant challenging behaviors that present danger to self, others and property. Clinical oversight, training, and 24/7 oversight will be provided to care home givers to learn skills to help participant become more independent, skills for the community, redirection, making choices, and learning to be part of a family unit.
Minimum Education: High School + background checks
Minimum Field-of-Expertise: Ability and desire to handle residents with maladaptive behaviors and carry out treatment plans created by the support team at CARE Hawaii in conjunction with a team approach of intervention.

Job Title: Case Management Specialist
Status: Full-Time
Location: Kona (CBCM)
Job Summary: Provide specialized case management services for clients diagnosed with serious and persistent mental illness.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, psychosocial assessment, needs assessment, creating treatment plans, providing education and support, linking clients to community resources to further independence and stability and working collaboratively with fellow team members.
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s with minimum 12 credit hours in counseling, criminal justice, human services, psychology, social work, social welfare, sociology or other behavioral sciences accepted.  Master’s degree in a human services field preferred.
Minimum Field-of-Expertise: 1 ½ years of direct experience working with persons with severe and persistent mental illnesses. 
Preferred Experience:  Clinical skill and experience to assess, plan, develop, coordinate, and provide treatment, rehabilitation, and support services to program clients with severe and persistent mental illnesses under the clinical supervision of the Team Leader.  Need ability to independently respond to the varied needs and demands of clients, families/significant others, staff, physicians and other multidisciplinary team members.  Must have strong commitment to the rights and abilities of each client served.

Job Title:  Certified Peer Specialist
Status: Full Time
Location:  Kona (CBCM)
Job Summary:
The Peer Specialist has experience as a recipient of mental health services for severe and persistent mental illness and is willing to share his or her knowledge, personal and practical experience with the team and clients.  The Peer Specialist collaborates with the team to ensure the recognition, understanding, and respect for each client’s point of view, experience, and preference when planning the delivery and evaluation of treatment, rehabilitation, and support services.  The primary responsibility of the Peer Specialist is to provide peer counseling, support, and consultation to clients, families, and the team under the clinical supervision of licensed professional staff.
Minimum Education:  High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma “GED”. AMHD Peer Specialist Certification needed.  Must have 1 year in recovery
Minimum Field-of-Expertise: Skills and competence to establish supportive trusting relationships with persons with severe and persistent mental illness
Required Skills: Perform mentoring, problem solving, support, and encouragement to clients to actively participate in their own recovery and promote hope and empowerment.

Job Title: Psych. Tech. (MHT)
Status: FT/PT/Call-In
Location: Kona (Group Home)
Job Summary: Responsible to carry out rehabilitation and support functions such as psychosocial rehabilitation programming, treatment planning, education, support, and provide crisis intervention.
Minimum Education: High School Diploma or High School equivalency; and completion of twelve (12) credits or four (4) classes of college coursework in social work, human services, human development, psychology, or a closely related field.
Minimum Field-of-Expertise: Work experience with adults with persistent mental illness, co-morbid medical conditions, including physical disabilities. A plus if CNA certified. Have one (1) year experience in the provision of psychological or social, or counseling services in a human service delivery setting that includes interviewing clients and/or observing and recording behaviors for use in the development and implementation of treatment, rehabilitation or service plans.
Preferred Experience: Comfortable in large group settings.

Job Title: Residential Crisis Manager
Status: FT/PT/Call In
Location: Kona (LCRS)
Job Summary: This member of residential services team has a responsibility to carry out rehabilitation and support functions, and to assist in treatment and crisis intervention; also provides substance abuse services, education, support, and consultation to residents and families as needed. The resident manager facilitates the admission and discharge process for the assigned site, in collaboration with the Registered Nurse on duty, case management and/ or crisis worker.
Minimum Education: Must have a bachelor’s degree in one of the behavioral health sciences.
Minimum Field-of-Expertise: 2 years of related training and/ or work experience preferred.
Preferred Experience: Work experience with adults with severe mental illness.

Job Title: Registered Nurse (Residentials)
Status: Call-in
Location: Kona (LCRS)
Summary: This member of the multidisciplinary team is responsible for conducting psychiatric assessments; assessing physical health needs; making and supporting appropriate referrals to community physicians and for mental health services; providing management and administration of medications in conjunction with the psychiatrist; providing a range of contracted treatment, rehabilitation, and support services; and sharing shift-management responsibility with other staff. 
Minimum Education: Must meet the following minimum educational requirements: Master’s; Bachelor’s or Associates in Nursing
Minimum Field-of-Expertise: At least one year of work experience in an inpatient or outpatient
Shift: 12 hour Shift – 8am to 8pm and on-call from 8pm – 12am

Job Title: Shift Coordinator
Status: 1 Full-time & 1 weekend
Location: Kona (CBCM)
Job Summary: Responsible to check in with all CBCM case managers and nurses on a daily basis and to keep track of the units (or hours) that each member of the team spends with each consumer on a given day.  In addition, responsible for checking in with all ACT Team Members on a daily basis and to keep track of the units (minutes) that each member of the team spends with each consumer on a daily basis.
Minimum Education: High school Diploma or equivalent; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Human Services preferred
Minimum Field-of-Expertise: Excellent interpersonal skill to effectively work with personnel.  Organizational abilities to coordinate staff activities.  Ability to utilize software and communication devices to coordinate staff.
